Who is Toynamics?
Toynamics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hape Holding AG, acting as a multi-brand distributor for a number of award-winning toys and nursery brands.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of our Design Studio in Switzerland, this is a brand-new role where you will be working for our core toy brand (Hape) along with a couple of our other toy brands that sit under the Toynamics umbrella.
If you’re a flexible designer passionate about communication and graphic design, both digital and print, you may well be made the graphic designer we need.
This position is an hybrid, remote work alternated with in-site work in our inspiring studio immersed in between the valley of south Switzerland.
Objectives of this role
Work on a wide range of projects and medias, both digital and printed, using Adobe Suite to visualize and develope innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team and subsidiaries, meeting deadlines and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include several simultaneous projects
Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
Improve and maintain internal databases of designs, templates and assets
Daily and monthly responsibilities
Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams for a wide range of materials that may include: digital assets as web pages, banners, presentations, internal communication, newsletters, online communicationa assets and marketing materials; or printed materials as leaflets, flyers, catalogues, posters and assets for retails stores as shelf stripes, flags, talkers, etc.
Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
Manage the design and uploading process of all project material, understanding best practices for using a content management system
Skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
3+ years experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop (Adobe Premiere and After Effects would be a plus) preferably with a creative or marketing agency
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
Good level of English, both written and spoken
Flexibility and good adaptability skills
Photography experience is a plus
